David Taylor’s connection with Fresno Fire Department carried throughout his life, as his father, Bill Taylor, worked for the department. Deeply dedicated to his calling as a firefighter, David served nearly 36 years with Fresno Fire, retiring in 2010 with the rank of captain. Outside of the fire service, David was a devoted family man who spent much of his leisure time exploring the outdoors and wilderness areas of the country. In May of 2018, David Taylor lost his battle with job-related cancer.
