Rick Pascall was hired by the San Miguel Fire District in October 1993, after a brief time serving with the US Forest Service. He became a fire engineer, which he called the best job in the world. He was humbled and honored to be a part of the amazing brotherhood he found at San Miguel and proudly drove his dream car, Engine 23. Off duty, he enjoyed taking cruises with family and friends and traveling to Montana. Rick passed after a valiant 2 year battle with job-related melanoma. His favorite place in the world was Yellowstone National Park, where his ashes rest.
